Accessible Parking in Texas

The Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD) Accessibility and Disability Policy Webinar Series is bringing you a webinar on one of their most requested topics — Accessible Parking in Texas!

With a new law on accessible parking passed by the 88th Legislature of Texas, GCPD is hosting a webinar with expert panelists to answer frequently asked questions about accessible parking such as:

  • What standards are required for building accessible parking spaces?
  • How does the recent law change Accessible Parking?
  • How do I qualify for an accessible parking placard or plate?
  • What are volunteer parking enforcement programs?
  • And many more!!

To learn the answers to these questions and ask your own, join us at the webinar scheduled on September 7 from 10 to 11 A.M. The webinar will be hosted virtually through the Zoom platform. Registration in advance is required for attendance.

ASL Interpreters and CART Captioning will be provided. Recordings and materials will be available afterwards to registrants. For other accommodations, email
