Education for rental housing professionals

TAA provides many resources to help professionals hone their talents and keep up with a fast-moving industry.

Rental housing industry professionals look to the Texas Apartment Association as a leading source for industry education. TAA offers a variety of educational offerings to fit the needs of rental property owners, independent owners, management company executives, REIT executives, property supervisors and onsite personnel. TAA also partners with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to offer affordable housing training programs statewide.

In addition to seminars, webinars and our annual Education Conference & Lone Star Expo, TAA also offers members access to educational resources like our Safety First video with tips for onsite workplace safety and our Disaster Preparedness Guide. Find more educational resources.

Many TAA-sponsored programs offer continuing education credits for CAM, CAMT, CAMT II, CAPS, CAS and NALP designates, and Mandatory Continuing Education Credits (MCE) required by the Texas Real Estate Commission of real estate licensees.

Local apartment associations in Texas also offer a variety of educational programs, covering legal issues, leasing techniques, maintenance concerns and other issues. Many local affiliates also offer professional designation courses in cooperation with the National Apartment Association Education Institute, and can grant continuing education credits, and in some cases, MCE credits.
