TAA Education Foundation Refreshes “Room to Grow” Awareness Campaign

TAAEF announced today the second phase of its highly successful awareness campaign, called “Room to Grow.”

Austin, Texas February 26, 2018 – The Texas Apartment Association Education Foundation (TAAEF), an organization dedicated to fostering career growth and opportunities in the apartment industry, announced today the second phase of its highly successful awareness campaign, called “Room to Grow.” Through the continuation of this integrated communications marketing campaign, TAAEF helps elevate awareness of and attract fresh talent into one of the fastest-growing industries in Texas.

With 4.6 million Texans relying on rental housing, this campaign highlights the breadth of opportunity available and how a job in the industry offers room to advance professionally. It caters to several key talent pools: military service members and their spouses, recent high school graduates, those attending colleges and community college and those in the hospitality industry looking for a career change. Each of these groups value career stability, purpose-driven work and upward mobility – all fundamental characteristics of a career in apartment industry.

The Room to Grow website ( has been completely redesigned with new navigation to maximize the user experience and connect the dots – in an effort to move candidates more quickly from awareness and inspiration to action and application. The site features a number of helpful tools, including:

  • New employee spotlight videos that will feature a mix of industry professionals sharing their unique backgrounds and experiences.
  • Resume uploader tool, a feature on the website that allows interested candidates to share their relevant experience and skills to be considered for job openings.
  • Job boards that link users to open job opportunities across the state, allowing them to self-select based on their interests, skillsets and geographical location.
  • Creative and interactive resources for local events and online engagement such as the “Find Your Fit” quiz to help prospects find an industry job that fits their personality, passions and skills.

“Through the generosity of our donors, we are thrilled to continue raising awareness around the room for professional growth the Texas apartment industry offers,” TAAEF President Tami Martin said. “The career opportunities in our industry are diverse and endless, and we’re excited to show prospective talent the value of establishing a career here.”

“As one of the largest trade associations in Texas, the Texas Apartment Association (TAA) deeply values the dedication and commitment of TAAEF in its mission to provide pathways for career opportunities and development in our fast-growing industry,” said TAA President Jackie Rhone. “The continuation of this campaign will bolster our future by revitalizing our workforce through the attainment of new talent and ultimately members into this thriving industry.”
