Academy Award-nominated, Grammy- and Emmy-winning Queen Latifah will be our General Opening Session’s featured guest at the 2019 Texas Apartment Association Education Conference & Lone Star Expo next April in Houston. The General Opening Session is Thursday, April 11.

Currently seen in the Fox series, Star, Latifah is just that—a star who shines brightly in many fields, and who has always been a shining example of a confident, beautiful, self-assured woman at home in her own skin.

In addition, we have more educational sessions—73!—than ever before, in a variety of formats to fit your learning preferences and style. The Lone Star Expo will also be our largest yet, with 424 booths and hundreds of exhibiting companies bringing you new ideas, products and innovative partnerships to help your property shine and your business thrive.

Conference attendees will find:

  • New “Open Space” learning opportunities with like-minded colleagues and expanded in-Expo education options in our Learning Lounge, featuring eight sessions and a coffee bar serving up your favorite options
  • Opportunities to connect with 2,500+ industry professionals and another 1,500+ supplier partners who are expected to attend
  • Chances to learn from some of the industry’s most dynamic and innovative professionals, like Toni Blake, Jackie Ramstedt, Rommel Anacan, Doug Chasick, Vicki Sharp, Paul Rhodes, Alexandra Jackiw and more who understand the national and Texas multifamily market
  • New solutions and supplier partners at the biggest-ever Lone Star Expo, with 424 booths offering the best products and services to keep your business competitive
  • Fun and fellowship at the Thursday Kickoff Party at the Park at Minute Maid Park, home of the 2017 World Series champion Houston Astros, with games, grub and The Spazmatics. And more fun on Friday night at the Emerald Extravaganza Installation & Awards Gala, with after-program entertainment from The Grooves.
  • More fun and games, with a chance to try your luck (or skill?) at the first-ever TAA PAC Bowling Tournament Wednesday, April 10 at Lucky Strike in downtown Houston, within walking distance of the George R. Brown Convention Center. And some lucky person will win a 2019 Jaguar XE in the TAA Education Foundation’s vehicle raffle. Look for tickets to go on sale in February.
