National Apartment Association (NAA) President & CEO Robert Pinnegar, CAE, responds to housing affordability issues raised during the recent Democratic debate.
National Apartment Association (NAA) President & CEO Robert Pinnegar, CAE, released the following statement in response to Wednesday’s Democratic debate and discussion’s of the nation’s housing affordability issues:
“Our leaders must support sustainable housing affordability policies that provide real relief to residents, housing operators and owners alike. Too often politicians embrace deeply flawed, quick-fix proposals that do nothing to address the root of the housing problem – a lack of housing supply at all price points amid growing demand. The simple fact is that we need more housing and must streamline and reform targeted programs to assist low- and moderate-income renters. Our nation’s countless rental housing owners and operators, alongside nearly 39 million apartment residents, deserve real solutions to housing affordability issues.”
