Lubbock Apartment Association “Dream Big” Chili Cook-off raises $2,500 for New Legacy Home
Synopsis
The Lubbock Apartment Association’s “Dream Big” Chili Cook-off raised $2,500 for the New Legacy Home, a Dream Center project offering women a place to write their new life story.
The Lubbock Apartment Association’s Community Service Committee reimagined the association’s annual chili cook-off, transporting it from the association’s parking lot to the Dream Center, a local organization helping the homeless and needy from birth to death with food, clothing, education, daycare, church services and more.
The association raised $2,500 for the Dream Center’s New Legacy Home project. The goal of the New Legacy Home is to provide women a place to write their new life story.
In addition to the usual cook-off festivities, entertainment was provided by a Christian wrestling group, which happens to include an LAA staff member.
