TAA offers upcoming affordable housing training
TAA is offering several opportunities for affordable housing training this winter.
In January, TAA has partnered with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to offer its Annual Owner Compliance Report (AOCR) Training and HTC Compliance Roundtable. The joint sessions will be held in Austin on Thursday, January 19.
The AOCR training, scheduled from 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., provides step-by-step instruction on how to navigate the TDHCA Compliance Monitoring and Tracking System. Compliance experts from TDHCA will cover all four parts of the annual report, which is due by March 1, 2012, explaining what each question means and how it should be answered.

In February, UPCS Inspection Training will be held in Houston. The full-day seminar will be held February 21 from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., with lunch provided from 12-1 p.m. TDHCA staff members who conduct inspections will provide details about the UPCS inspection process and common violations.
In March, Income Eligibility Training (a.k.a. TDHCA’s First Thursday Training), and HTC Compliance Training will be held in Houston. Income Eligibility will be offered on March 20, and HTC will be held March 21. Both courses are taught by compliance experts from the TDHCA. HTC Compliance Training is approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission for 7 MCE credits.
