TAA’s 2012-2013 printed REDBOOK available in early February

When you’ve got legal questions, TAA’s 2012-2013 printed REDBOOK gives you the answers you can trust to handle common management problems with confidence. The revised edition will be available from your local association in early February.

TAA’s REDBOOK is the only comprehensive guide for rental housing owners and managers in Texas. The printed version includes 840 pages of state statutes, regulatory agency rules, legal commentary, sample management and eviction suit forms, previously unpublished legal articles and copies of TAA leases and lease-related forms.

Content in the printed book is organized to help you find the information you need quickly and easily, and to help keep the size of the book manageable, TAA has relocated some articles and content to the REDBOOK Online. The REDBOOK Online is a mobile-friendly site that offers access to the legal content you need 24/7 from wherever you are, including from your mobile device.

Most users of TAA’s lease forms programs have automatic access to the REDBOOK Online, and members who don’t can subscribe for $50 plus tax per year. Visit www.taa.org for more information. New content for the REDBOOK Online will be available by mid-January.

You’ll also want to plan now to sharpen your knowledge of your legal rights and responsibilities as a rental housing owner or manager by participating in one of the “Apartment and Rental Housing Legal Seminars” being offered around the state and online this year. The seminars emphasize changes in management practices required by new laws passed during the last legislative session and updates on key regulatory issues that affect property management. Webinars feature the same content as in-person seminars, with the convenience of web-based delivery.

For a full list of seminars and webinars or to register online, visit the Calendar section of TAA’s website at www.taa.org.
