Educational seminars


TAA offers seminars for owners and top management, and for onsite professionals. Some TAA-sponsored seminars offer continuing education credits for CAM, CAMT, and CAMT II, CAPS, CAS, and NALP designates, and Mandatory Continuing Education credits (MCE) required by the Texas Real Estate Commission for real estate licensees.

Regional seminars

  • Regional seminars are designed for rental housing owners and management company executives and focus on timely topics of interest to industry leaders. 

REDBOOK Online Webinar

FREE web-based training from TAA covers benefits and features of the REDBOOK Online. Program runs for one hour beginning at 9 a.m. central.

Apartment and Rental Housing Legal Seminars

Instructed by prominent industry attorneys from around the state and TAA General Counsel Wendy R. Wilson

  • Full-day seminar focusing on the current revision of the TAA REDBOOK, a comprehensive handbook of landlord/tenant laws, and other regulations that affect property owners. Also available as half-day course in some areas.

Apartment and Rental Housing Legal Webinars

The exact same information that is offered in the in-person seminars with the convenience of a web-based format.

  • Module 1 is 1.5 hours long and includes Getting the most out of the REDBOOK
  • Module 2 is 1.5 hours long and includes Forms review
  • Module 3 is 1.5 hours long and includes Legislative and regulatory changes
  • Module 4 is 1 hour long and includes Detailed review of legal issues and On the horizon

    • Covers compliance requirements for the HOME program
  • Annual Owner's Compliance Report Training seminars
    • Instructed by compliance experts from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA)
    • Compliance experts will show you step-by-step how to complete TDHCA's Annual Owner Compliance Report.
  • Advanced-level HTC roundtable discussions
    • Led by compliance experts from TDHCA and a panel of your peers
    • Covers timely issues relevant for experienced professionals
  • **Combined Annual Owner's Compliance Report Training and HTC Compliance Roundtable**
